We are pleased to announce that Sharifa Wahab will kick off her campaign for Nevada's Assembly District 35 on Tuesday, February 20th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
"Sharifa comes with a wealth of knowledge about her district and a passion for public service," said Judy Klein, Wahab's campaign manager. "She will do a fantastic job for her district." Wahab's background includes immigrating to the United States in 1995 and living in Assembly District 35 since 2009. She is the mother of three adult children and one granddaughter now 2 1/2 years old. A dentist by trade, she has trained many dental students, managed successful dental practices, and helped open Clark County's first dental school. Today, she runs a senior care service, providing the elderly and the infirmed advocacy and support services. Additionally, she was appointed to numerous county and statewide boards where she served with distinction and has served on the Board of Directors for numerous community-based non-profit organizations.
"Because of her passion for public service and her skill with business, budgeting, and contracts, Sharifa is the perfect choice to represent her district. She has the heart of a public servant and the desire to make a difference," said Klein.
Persons interested in attending the kickoff may RSVP to smittysmom4@gmail.com or (702) 239-7715. Location information will be provided upon RSVP.
